Summer Kids Camp

Writer: Crafty BoswellsCrafty Boswells

This week has been a very busy week for me. My Church was putting on an Art and Craft Camp for Kids from Kindergarten to 5th grade. We did art, did some dances, learned to play hand bells, and learned the songs for "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" and did a live performance for Parents, friends, and Church members on Friday night. The music was very hard and it was a full 20 minute show where the kids had made props and had costumes to tell the story of Joseph from the Bible in songs. I volunteered to work with the Kindergartens which are age 4-5 years old. I was so amazed how fast these kids learned the difficult music and got all the props and parts ready by Friday. We started on Monday and by Friday they knew the songs and their places on stage. They did such a great job. Even the little ones I worked with were so into this performance. I was so tired after running after 15 five years old by the end of the day, but so proud of them on Friday. I could not have more proud than if they were my kids. After the first day, I never would have thought it would come together so quickly by Friday, but we have some amazing Children leaders that are so good at working with these kids. I am talking about 75 kids learning their different parts and then putting them all together in five days. Wow, such a great job.

Keep checking out sites. Falls will be coming up soon and we hope to be doing some fall wreaths up next. We have some in stock now if you are interested in a new fall wreath.
